Save the date for our next HEART of Honolulu Art Street Festival, Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.! We're inviting artists and arts organizations to take to the streets, as we shut down Nuuanu Avenue in Chinatown and open it to pedestrian traffic for everyone to experience and enjoy the HEART of the Chinatown Arts District, including art, live music, food, creative local vendors, performances and more.
HEART is an acronym that stands for Heritage, Entertainment, Arts & Culture, Restaurants, and Theatre & Performing Arts. Together, these elements make up the core of the vibrant creative community that exists in the Bethel and Nuʻuanu Avenue district, between King Street and Beretania Avenue.
The HEART of Honolulu Street Festival is organized by the nonprofit Downtown Art Center. Some notable participating artists and creative organizations this year include: Hawaiʻi Craftsmen, Honolulu Printmakers, Hawaiʻi Watercolor Society, Hawaiʻi Handweavers’ Hui, Pastel Artists of Hawaiʻi, Glass Fusion Collective, El Dorado Casting Lab, The ARTS at Marks Garage, the brand-new-to-Chinatown Classic Waves Boutique, Chinatown artist Sergio Garzon, and many more!

This year, we are excited to welcome back the HeART STRUT, a fun parade of handmade, wearable art, with the theme of Chinese Zodiac! At 12 noon on April 12, everyone is invited to strut their stuff as we wend our way around the Festival, led by processional artist Patricia Brubaker. Just meet at the HeART STRUT booth next to DAC at 1041 Nuuanu Ave at 11:30 a.m.!
